Welcome to my short bio! My name is Thomas Grové, I have many other aliases, some of which can be found on my contact page. I'm a second year student at Northwestern University studying filmmaking and new media. I have a company with a few friends called media 31, aka m31. we handle all sorts of production stuff, lots of which is experimental including web pages, music and interactive CDs, and print media such as flyer design and 5D Magazine. We try to pioneer new media and art, as well, through live performances, exibits, and installations. In the fall of 1997 I was made a member of ACiD Productions' VGA division. ACiD is an international internet and bbs based art group. Also, as of issue 4 of One Millennium, I am the head computer artist of the Hunter Productions comic book company located in Columbus Ohio and I’m associated with Ele_mental: central Ohio's best rave and electronic music production crew.

My interests are vga art and graphic design, music, film making, animation, snow skiing, rock climbing, kung fu, graffitti, feng shui, electronic music and culture, and lots of other things... At school, I am activly envolved with the Japanese animation (anime) club and with the radio station WNUR. I need money to support my hobbies and interrests, i will do freelance web and graphic design for you if you email me. For an example of what i can do check out the m31 page. I'm looking to work for a design firm or videogame or music or film company this summer in san francisco, chicago, or columbus. but ultimately I am and will be self imployed. Most importantly, I am a member of LOTEK!

Lotek is a cyber crew, a social identity if you would. We are a group of friends who all have different specialties in the world of computers and interests in many aspects of subculture. Interrupt Audio: omot, monad and myself wrote music for a week this summer. We compiled our tracks along with a tracks by 3jane, kX^mode, and paradyme to create our first album "Shattered Sound". This will be printed soon and available in stores (i hope) as well as through the web. Styles on this album vary from pr0n hop to drum n bass, techno, and ambient. One common element through most of the album is an atmospheric quality.

5D Magazine: has been put on hold until we can get enough content together. Hopefully though it will be out by thanksgiving. If you have "tek" oriented content to contribute, please email me. I NEED GOOD CONTENT! :)

@ school: I'm finally almost done getting settled into my new condo. Most of my furniture is all set up and the place is clean and lookin good. Anime Club started off real well this year with 45 people in attendance for the first night (our record last year was 25, maybe 30 on a feature night). I've been having small Miyazaki viewings after the simpsons on sundays with my old roommate and some of our friends. I've started my radio show, it's Friday nights at 1 am central time - 2 am 89.3 WNUR Chicago. If you don't live in chicago you can check it via RealAudio. There have been many Street Beat house parties so far this year so.. lots of fun for Grover :)

My sister, Bolt (aka grovette), had a lead on Broadway. She was Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz on Broadway with Roseanne Barr costarring as the wicked witch. This past spring and summer she has been touring with Mickey Rooney and Eartha Kitt in Madison Square Guarden's national tour of the Wizard of Oz. My father is from South Africa, he is Afrikaans and a stock broker. My mother is from Ohio, she grew up on a farm but has traveled the world. Most of my friends are Lotek but I have a lot of computer friends who are not tek and also friends who aren't hard core about computers.
